Bostik PA 5220 Copolyamide Adhesive
PA 5220 is a thermoplastic copolyamide hot melt adhesive engineered for precision flow and consistent performance in clothing and apparel lamination. Available in both powder and pellet forms, this adhesive resists washing, dry cleaning, and steam exposure. It is ideal for fashion, technical textiles, structured garments, and fusible interlinings.
With a higher melt flow rate than Bostik PA 5210, the PA 5220 adhesive ensures smooth, controlled application across paste dot, powder dot, and scatter coating systems.
Bostik PA 5220 Hot Melt Adhesive Key Features
-
Precision Flow Application: Offers smooth, controlled melt behavior for clean adhesive placement and minimal bleed-through
-
Wash & Dry Cleaning Resistance: Maintains strong bonds through laundering at 140°F (60°C) and repeated dry cleaning cycles
-
Steam Forming Stability: Resists adhesive degradation during steam exposure — ideal for structured garments or pressing steps
-
Consistent Fusing Performance: Activates between 248–302°F (120–150°C) with typical dwell times of 10–15 seconds
-
Quick Fixture Strength: Achieves bond integrity quickly upon cooling, enabling efficient handling and production flow
-
Flexible Application Methods: Supports paste dot, powder dot, and scatter coating systems using pellet or powder formats
