Bostik PE85 is a nonwoven polyester hot melt web adhesive designed for textile lamination and assembly applications requiring lower processing temperatures and durable bonds. Its fine-filament construction provides uniform adhesive coverage, good textile hand and a permeable bond across a wide variety of fabrics, foams and vinyls. With excellent washing resistance and good resistance to oils and plasticizers, PE85 is well suited for apparel, footwear and furniture applications.

How to Activate & Apply Bostik PE85 Adhesive Webbing

Bostik PE85 adhesive web can be activated using an electric fusing press, heated rolls, heated air, radiant heat or steam press. Dry heat activation requires a minimum temperature of 199°F (93°C). Reactivation time is typically 8–10 seconds, although actual processing time depends on the activation technique, temperature, pressure, substrates and adhesive thickness.
