Power Adhesives Tecbond 420 General-Purpose Spray Hot Melt Glue Slugs
Tecbond 420 is a polyolefin (PO) adhesive formulated primarily for spray application across compatible substrates including plastics excluding PE, foam, fabric, and bubble film. These 1 3/4" (43mm) hot melt glue slugs are widely used in mattress manufacturing and HVAC assembly, offering a three-minute open time that supports accurate positioning before compression.
While optimized for spray application, Tecbond 420 can also be extruded as a controlled bead when more precise placement is required. The adhesive cools rapidly upon extrusion to help protect heat-sensitive surfaces while delivering broader coverage in spray mode than traditional bead patterns. Designed to support efficient production workflows, Tecbond 420 is approved to UL 2395 for securing thermal insulation and can replace nails and tacks in carpet and skirting board installation.
