Power Adhesives Tecbond 425 High Tack Spray & Bead Hot Melt Glue Slugs
Built for fast-moving production lines, Tecbond 425 delivers exceptional holding strength the moment parts are compressed, making it a strong choice for assemblies that experience immediate stress or tension. This polyolefin hot melt is supplied in 1 3/4" (43 mm) glue slug form and is engineered for both spray and bead extrusion applications, offering flexibility for wide-area coverage or precise adhesive placement. Its formulation provides the highest initial tack among Tecbond spray-grade adhesives, allowing components to stay locked in place without delay.
High-flow delivery and strong mechanical bonding are supported by Tecbond 425’s low-viscosity formulation, particularly on porous substrates such as wood, fabrics, and concrete. The adhesive cools quickly after extrusion to help limit heat exposure on temperature-sensitive materials, including foam and expanded polystyrene, while still bonding effectively to light-gauge metals and many plastics. When applied as a spray, Tecbond 425 delivers broader surface coverage and a longer working window, while bead extrusion enables controlled application for targeted bonding and assembly alignment.
Tecbond 425 Performance Highlights
- Dual Application Capability: Designed for both spray and bead extrusion methods, providing versatility for large-area coverage or precision bonding.
- High Initial Tack: Delivers exceptional holding power immediately upon application, making it well suited for bonds subject to high tension.
- Substrate Versatility: Adheres securely to wood, fabrics, plastics, concrete, and light gauge metal, including heat-sensitive materials like foam and expanded polystyrene.
- Optimized Flow & Coverage: Spray application enhances surface coverage and working time, while bead extrusion offers accurate adhesive placement.
- HVAC Approved: Tested and certified to UL 2395 standards for securing thermal insulation in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning appliances.
- FDA Compliance: Meets FDA 175.105 for indirect food contact.
