Not as good as I expected
The product is ok, but not as good as I expected. I use it in a 180 w glue gun and it failed to surpass the cheap EVA glue I was using. I did some adhesion tests on metal, HDPE, UHMW and wood. The when the polyamide glue adhere to the material, the adhesion wasn't better than EVA glue. The polyamide glue didn't adhere to HDPE nor UHMW, but the EVA did. The bare polyamid glue is indeed tougher than my cheap EVA glue, but the poorer adhesion don't justify the higher cost. Aside that, I guess it's better for extreme temperature than EVA. Unfortunately, I can't return the product, but I would if I could. In my opinion, a high strengh, high temperature and high quality EVA glue is a better all around choice than this polyamide glue.
Thanks for the review. HDPE is a very difficult substrate so while Polyamides do offer better temperature resistance, their bond to PE or PP may not be any better. Our best HDPE, PP hot melt is SuperTAC 500 (link below). For structural bonds to HDPE or PE, we recommend our MMA 500 two part adhesive.
