The TEC 6100 hot melt gun is an industrial extrusion glue gun from Power Adhesives built for high volume, industrial use. The TEC uses 1 3/4" (43mm) glue slugs and operates using a standard power outlet and air compressor running around 120 psi.
TEC 6100 Overview
The TEC 6100 by Power Adhesives is a 500 Watt glue gun able to dispense up to 9lbs of adhesive per hour.
The TEC 6100 weighs in at around 3lbs which we thought was pretty light considering its industrial design and output capabilities. Like most industrial glue guns, the 6100 comes standard with hanger allowing it to be mounted to a spring balancer helpful for all day use.

Setting Up the TEC 6100
Set up on the gun is pretty straight forward. Plug in the electrical cord and hook up the hose to an air compressor at 120 psi. The glue gun will require at least 10 minutes to warm up.
TEC 6100 in Action
The Tec 6100 Glue Gun has an on/off indicator light and is easy to operate, just insert your glue slugs and then rotate the piston down and slide it forward. The pneumatic trigger makes dispensing glue effortless which we like for day long operation. Squeezing a glue gun trigger may not sound like a lot of work but on a 10 hour shift the fatigue can be significant.
