Hot Melt for Corrugated Plastic Assembly

 What is Corrugated Plastic?

Corrugated plastic packaging and product assembly is a quickly growing field and until now finding a bulk hot melt that provides excellent bond strength and optimal set time has been difficult if not impossible.

There are three main types of corrugated plastic, laminated sheets, profile sheets and honeycomb, also called bubble sheets. No matter what kind of corrugated plastic you are using, it is a great replacement for fiber corrugated when there is an opportunity to reuse the packaging. It can also hold up to weather and other variables in the environment.

Hot Melt Glue Sticks for Corrugated Plastic Assembly

The Infinity SuperTAC 500 is our favorite glue stick for corrugated plastic applications. It works great with plastics that are traditionally difficult to bond including PP, PE, PET and PVC plastics. It also works with other porous substrates. The SuperTAC 500 reliable for specialty product assembly and manufacturing applications like battery assembly and construction.

Another option for bonding plastics like PP, PE and PC is the 3M 3764 hot melt. It  offers an excellent bond to notoriously difficult substrates and good flexibility, even at low temperatures.
